Elliot Menkowitz, M.D.

Elliot Menkowitz MDDr. Elliot Menkowitz is a veteran orthopedic surgeon from the suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. During his 40 years of patient care, Dr. Menkowitz has witnessed firsthand the evolution of medical liability lawsuit abuse.

Menkowitz graduated from La Salle College and then Temple University Medical School, where he was a member of the Medical Honorary Society.

Dr. Menkowitz holds board certifications from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the Fellow American College of Surgeons. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, American Society of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Fracture Association, the Southern Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Babcock Surgical Society, the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Orthopedic Societies, the American Medical Society, and the Eastern Orthopedic Society. He is a 10-time recipient of the American Medical Association (AMA) Award for Physician’s Recognition, and was also awarded the Teaching Award at Temple University Medical School in 2002.

In October of 2002, The Hill School, a college preparatory school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, unveiled the Elliot Menkowitz, M.D. Health Center. The facility includes three exam rooms, one treatment room, and twelve beds, and offers a variety of medical services to students. The building was named in honor of Dr. Menkowitz as a tribute to his status as a superior local physician and his efforts in helping to renovate the Center.
