Doctor’s Advocate was founded in August of 2005 to address the challenge of the medical malpractice and healthcare delivery crises in Pennsylvania and across the country.

Robert B. Surrick, Esquire, a retired trial lawyer with a superb reputation in the medical community, and Dr. Elliot Menkowitz , a renowned Pennsylvania-based orthopedic surgeon, formed the organization to reduce the prevalence of frivolous lawsuits and give the beleaguered medical community a way to fight back.

Doctor’s Advocate travels to speak with hospital staffs, medical societies, politicians, and the public to raise awareness about the crises, promote change, and produce tort reform.
